Deb has personal ties to integrative medicine, which is the reason why Earley Wellness Group exists today. In her mid-30s, she experienced the greatest loss of her life which created a pain in her body that lasted for over two years. She visited countless doctors, underwent surgery, and took multiple medications but still, the chronic pain persisted. Finally, she decided to give acupuncture a try and after the first treatment her pain disappeared, never to return. This experience sparked Deb’s curiosity about the transformative power of acupuncture, and she knew that she wanted to bring it to others.
Deb set off on her journey to become an acupuncturist in January of 2000 at the age of 40. She received her Master's degree in Acupuncture from the nationally-recognized Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH). Acupuncture transformed Deb’s life and brought her back to health, and her studies only furthered her passion to bring the core principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to people just as they were brought to her.
Deb truly believes in the restorative and transformative powers of acupuncture and knows that becoming a client requires a commitment to one’s own healing. She will aid you in becoming both a patient and a partner in your own treatment, and teach you to embrace your body’s natural ability to restore and repair itself. The decision to look deeply into your state of health and commit to intentional healing, along with setting a focus on your health goals, is essential in order to reap all of the benefits of treatment. Deb teaches her patients that healing is a process, and as such should be approached with a willingness to learn and embrace the journey. Her goal in working with you is to equip you with the tools of transformational healing that will allow you to take an active role in your well-being.
Deb started the Earley Wellness Group in 2015 because she has faith in the effectiveness of integrative care and the principles of healing and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She intentionally gathered wonderful practitioners with various talents and skills, who work jointly to make an intelligent diagnosis and create a treatment plan. Deb structured the practice so that you are able to come in at times that best work for your schedule, making it easy to come as frequently as you need. Deb believes that we are on a new frontier, a renaissance of sorts, of understanding how to teach people to empower themselves through holistic medicine that is restorative and brings the body to balance. She is proud to own a patient-centered practice that operates according to industry standards, best practices, and a commitment to bettering your health and well-being.
Deb has two sons and a grandson (and counting!). She and her life partner live in Silver Spring, Maryland, and are celebrating their 25th anniversary next year. In her free time, Deb enjoys being in nature and outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and kayaking. To relax, she loves reading, practicing yoga and Qi Gong, and spending time with her friends and family.
